Summertown - Robert Doyle Perry, 82, of Summertown died Feb. 9, 2026, at STRHS Lawrenceburg.

He was born Dec. 20, 1943, to the late Clayburn Price Perry and Ruth Evan Ray Perry in the Knob Creek Community. He was a pipeline welder and a 60-year member of the Pipeliner's Union Local 798 out of Tulsa, Okla. He was a member of Ethridge Masonic Lodge #777 and a 33rd Degree Mason and Shriner. He had a deep passion for his career and enjoyed all the many sights and friends that he made along the way. In his free time, he enjoyed working outdoors, traveling and spending time with his loving family and friends, especially his granddaughters and Ms. Kitty. He was of the Christian faith. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Nolan Perry; sister-in-law Joan Perry; and beloved canine companions, Max and Molly.

Funeral services were held Feb. 13 at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home with Ricky Cotton officiating. Burial was in Ethridge Masonic Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Children's Hospital.

Survivors include loving wife of 61 years Linda Shaffer Perry; children, Jeff Perry (Terri), Kelly Luna (Dallas); grandchildren, Kate Perry-Oflaz (Olkan), Lauren Chard (Jordan), Hope Smith (Jessie); and beloved feline companion Ms. Kitty.
